Prayer Make Things Happen

I woke up thinking about the Power of Prayer in Peter’s life.
I would like to look at the incident of Peter, prison and the miracle that God worked. Peter was thrown in prison, because the King Herod saw that it pleased the Jews to kill James the brother of John. Then he proceeded to take Peter at this time so that he can keep pleasing the crowd of people.

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison and delivered him to four quaternion of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was make without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: AND HE SMOTE Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. Act 12:4-7

Prayer is what changed Peter’s outcome. This make me think of a time, when prayer saved my life. I flat line while giving birth, but my husband and family were praying for me and by divine intervention may heart started beating again. Prayer can change your situation too.
Your prison could be anything like a need for Healing, Safety, and Deliverance.

•  Prayer is the way people communicate with God.

Communication is the way relationships are made.  So God devised a way to build a relationship with mankind.  When you pray to God you are talking to him.  This gives God away to build a relationship with you.  Jesus demonstrated this fact in front of his disciples. Who watch him pray to the Father?  They saw that it was different from the way that the Pharisees prayed and there for wanted to pray like Jesus did. 

•  God will respond to the prayers that are given to him

. As you read through the Bible there are plenty of times when God answer prayers.  There is the time when the king was told to get his house in order and he turns and had a talk with God and was granted 15 more years of life to live.  Also there is the time when a mother prayed for a child and became the mother of the first Judge and Prophet of Israel.  God’s man Elijah was referred to by James one of Jesus Disciple said…that Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.  (James 5:17-18)

•  God long to here from all of his children. 

In the Bible the Lord gave instruction for Jeremiah to call to him...Moreover the word of the  Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying. "Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name):  Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'

• When we pray things change.

Peter and the Jail is a great example of how pray can change things.  A group of people where praying for him and he was freed from his prison. Jeremiah Prays for understanding and receive it.  He had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he started a prayer to God…Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched There is nothing too hard arm.  for You.  You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them-the Great, the Mighty God .whose name is the Lord of hosts.  You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men. To give to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.  Jeremiah 32:17-19).

Than God Answer Jeremiah…Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.  Is there anything too hard for Me? Therefore thus says the Lord… Jeremiah 32:27   

Take some time and talk to the Lord.

Faith

Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen

Most of the time when we think of Faith, we believe in something that is possible.
Like I have Faith that the sun will come up tomorrow, or that if I take some medicine my headache will go away
It is not faith when you say if I set down, the chair will hold me, this is not the Faith that God is talking about.  He is talking about the Miracle working Faith.  You need Faith to bring you though a deadly decease that have no cure or like the lady with the issue of blood.  She had been to doctor after doctor trying to be cured of her issue.  The doctor had no cure for her.  She went out to fine a cure and she found it in the believe in the healing power of Jesus. It take Faith for the Anointing to work.  Jesus gave his follower some instruction regarding Faith, because of all the unbelief he faced amounge the poeple
